I.E.2) Superintendent Evaluation Process/Timelines: The Board will continue to implement the MASB Intermediate School District/Educational Service Agency Superintendent Evaluation tool. As per Board Policy, the Superintendent will have an evaluation conducted by March 15 annually by the Board. The following evaluation schedule is being recommended by the Superintendent for Board approval:

I.E.3) Eaton RESA Five-Year Common Calendar Revision: The Eaton RESA Five-Year Common Calendar for 2023-24 through 2027-28 was approved at the May 17, 2023, Board meeting. Local Superintendents are requesting a revision to the 2025 spring break schedule to align with Ingham, Clinton, and Calhoun’s 2025 schedule which is the week of March 31, 2025, through April 4, 2025, the week after the current five-year schedule. As a result of this request, the Superintendent is requesting that the Board of Education approve the revision to the Eaton RESA Five-Year Common Calendar.

I.E.4) Adams Outdoor Advertising Agreement: The Superintendent is requesting authorization from the Board to execute an agreement with Adams Outdoor Advertising in an amount not to exceed $33,800. The agreement is from December 4, 2023, through December 1, 2024. Eaton RESA will utilize 61i CTE Teacher Recruitment and Retention grant funding to cover the costs.

I.E.5) New 0.5 FTE Custodian Position: The District has contracted with D & D Maintenance for 2.6 FTE custodial services since 2016. Since the pandemic, D & D Maintenance has been unable to successfully fill the part-time position, resulting in the additional hours being picked up by the two full-time custodians. The District approached Eaton RESA Educational Support Personnel Association (ESPA) leadership about taking the part-time position on as an Eaton RESA employee. The ESPA president reviewed and approved the job description, and agreed that the custodian hourly rate should align with the paraprofessional salary schedule. Tina Monroe, Executive Director of Finance & Operations, is recommending that the Board approve a new 0.5 FTE custodian position.

I.E.6) Child and Adolescent Health Centers Infrastructure Contract: Kim Thalison, Director of School Wellness & Prevention Services, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to execute an agreement with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in an amount not to exceed $210,000 for infrastructure expenses for the school-based health clinic located at Grand Ledge High School (GLHS). The agreement is from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024.

I.E.7) Sparrow Eaton Hospital Subcontract: Kim Thalison, Director of School Wellness & Prevention Services, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to execute a subcontract agreement with Sparrow Eaton Hospital in an amount not to exceed $220,255. The subcontract provides infrastructure expenses and implementation of health care services to staff the school-based health clinic located at GLHS. The agreement is from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024.

I.E.8) 2023-24 Contracted School Social Worker Services: Kelly Hager, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to execute two agreements with Sunbelt Staffing and VocoVision to provide contracted virtual school social worker services for two staff members' maternity leaves of absence. The agreements are from January 8, 2024, through April 12, 2024, in an amount not to exceed $47,104, and January 8, 2024, through June 14, 2024, in an amount not to exceed $89,867.
