I.E.2) Relevant Academy Board Member Recommendation: Based on the recommendation of Lauren Blakely, Executive Director of Relevant Academy, the Eaton RESA Superintendent is requesting that the Board approve the appointment of Eric Williams to serve a three-year term effective April 1, 2025, through March 30, 2028, to the Relevant Academy Board of Directors.

I.E.3) HOSA State Conference: Margo Hazelman, Career Preparation Center Director and Principal at Eaton RESA Career Preparation Center, would like the board to approve attendance at the HOSA State Conference, which will be held April 17-19, 2025, at the Grand Traverse Resort in Acme, MI. Five students from the Eaton RESA HOSA Chapter are eligible to compete at the State Conference. Marina McCullen (Student Services Coordinator/HOSA Advisor) will be attending the conference with the students. The cost estimate is $2,144 for Conference and hotel.

I.E.4) SkillsUSA State Conference: Margo Hazelman, Career Preparation Center Director and Principal at Eaton RESA Career Preparation Center, is requesting board approval for a Student Services Coordinator/SkillsUSA Advisor (Reid Casey) and Student Services Coordinator (Jenn Grantham) to chaperon 38 students from the Eaton RESA SkillsUSA Chapter who are eligible to compete at the state conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan, from April 11-13, 2025. The cost estimate is $12,500.00

I.E.5) Out of State Travel - 2025 Annual School-Based Health Care Conference: Melissa Dahlgreen, Behavioral/Mental Health Specialist, is requesting board approval to attend an out-of-state conference in Washington DC from June 29th to July 1st, 2025. The School-Based Health Alliance has a special program just for youth at the National School-Based Health Care Conference. The 'Be the Change' Youth Training Program is designed to provide an opportunity for youth to connect with like-minded peers from around the country who are passionate leaders of change in their schools and communities. 'Be the Change' participants network with each other and school-based healthcare advocates at the conference and engage in various workshops pertaining to health, education, policy, and leadership. The estimated cost will be $2,679.58. This is fully funded through the state 31n Mental Health Grant.

I.E.6) University of Michigan Health Sparrow Eaton Hospital: Kim Thalison, Director of School Wellness & Prevention Services, is requesting the execution of the contract to the University of Michigan Health Sparrow Eaton Hospital for the construction and implementation of healthcare services for the School-Based Health Clinic to be located in East Lansing High School in the amount of $603,900. This contract is fully funded by the Michigan Department
of Health and Human Services with Eaton RESA serving as the fiscal agent. The term of the agreement is from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.

I.E.7) Mi-APPP Contract Renewal: Kim Thalison, Director of School Wellness & Prevention Services, requests authorization for continuation funding of the Mi-APPP grant, which provides case management support to young parents in the Lansing Area to achieve goals around health, financial security, adult relationships, and education. The FY 25 contract has been increased from $97,000 to $157,000, an increase of $60,000. The term of the agreement is October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025.

I.E.8) Island City Academy - 2 New PAC Members: On November 20, 2024, the Island City Academy appointed Mrs. Cyrene Kemper and Mrs. Casey Slaybaugh to the Parent Advisory Committee(PAC). The board meeting minutes are attached. Per the PAC bylaws, Eaton RESA will appoint vacancies to the PAC at its regularly scheduled August board meeting. However, ICA did not appoint a representative until the November board meeting. If approved, ICA will have two PAC members serving on the committee. They have not had representation on the PAC for several years.

I.E.9) 2024-25 Budget Revisions: The first Budget Revision for 2024-25 was presented as an information item at the February 19, 2025 Board meeting. Board approval is required for the General Fund, Special Ed Fund, and the Career & Technical Education Fund.

I.E.10) Closed Session for the Purpose of Negotiations: Eaton RESA Support Personnel Association (ESPA) Collective Bargaining Agreement: The Superintendent is requesting that the Board enter into closed session, pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Section 8(c) to discuss negotiations connected with the ESPA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
