I.E.2) Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Contract: Kelly Hager, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, upon recommendation from the Special Education Funding Committee and local district Superintendents, is requesting board approval to contract with Positive Behavior Corporation for a BCBA in an amount not to exceed $44,400 for the 2024-25 fiscal year to provide up to 20 hours of services per week to the local districts to assist IEP teams in meeting the needs of students with more complex behaviors that have not been successful with existing supports. The BCBA would conduct functional behavior assessments, assist teams in developing a Positive Behavior Intervention Plan and train staff to implement the plan with fidelity. Districts that utilized the services would be billed back the cost. The agreement is from January 23, 2025, through June 16, 2025.

I.E.3) CompHealth Contract to provide Speech and Language Services for the remainder of the 2024-25 School Year: Kelly Hager, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, is requesting that the board authorize the Superintendent to execute a contract extension with CompHealth in an amount not to exceed $64,800 for the 2024-25 fiscal year to fill a 1.0 FTE Speech and Language Pathologist vacancy. The agreement is from January 23, 2025, through June 6, 2025.

I.E.4) Maple Valley FTE Increase Speech and Language Pathologist: Kelly Hager, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, is requesting a 0.2 FTE increase in an amount not to exceed $18,080.00 for a Speech and Language Pathologist due to an increase in needs. The agreement is requested by Maple Valley Schools for January 23, 2025, through June 6, 2025

I.E.5) Revised LOU with Ingham for increased School Social Work (SSW) Support: Kelly Hager, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to execute a revised agreement with a cost increase of $50,545, for a total LOU of $271,749, with Ingham ISD. Through a letter of understanding, Ingham ISD can provide an additional 1.0 FTE of in person SSW service for a total of 3.2 FTE of in person SSW. 1.0 FTE of contracted virtual SSW will be reduced by 1.0 to instead fill with this in person SSW from Ingham for the 2024-25 school year.
