A disaster declaration relating to public health concerns has been issued for at least a portion of the public body's jurisdiction.  In consideration of this and due to the COVID-19 health pandemic, Superintendent Anthony Palmisano has determined that a fully accessible in-person meeting is not practical or prudent in consideration of community transmission levels, the Delta variant, capacity limitations to support physical distancing and consistent compliance with the Illinois mask mandate.  As permitted by 5 ILCS 120/7(e), this meeting may be held without the physical presence of a quorum at the regular meeting location.

Superintendent Palmisano and one or more board members will be physically present at the regular meeting location, along with other employees performing functions related to the meeting.  Given COVID-19 considerations, it is not feasible to allow members of the public to attend the meeting in person.  Public viewing of the meeting is accessible at livestream.d45.org.

Members of the public will be offered an opportunity to address the Board during the public comment portion of the meeting.  Board Policy 2:230, Public Participation at Board of Education Meetings is accessible via the District website and sets forth the Board's general guidelines for public comments.
