III. Red Wing Area Mechatronics Grant Request:

Description:
The Minnesota Job Skills Partnership board approved the Red Wing Area Mechatronics grant request of $400,000 that includes approximately $178,000 for equipment. This is very exciting news! A press release will be forthcoming from the college. Andy Schultz from Red Wing 3M spoke on behalf of the seven business partners - Hearth and Home, Gemini, Pepin Manufacturing, Valley Craft, Ardent Hills, 3M, and Red Wing Shoe. A search is underway for a lead instructor. The college is looking forward to providing this much needed training for Red Wing, Cannon Falls, Lake City manufacturers.
