Budget hearing opened at 12:06 pm. Discussion was held between Superintendent Darren Tobey and Board Members. There were no questions from the public in attendance.

Forty seniors applied for internships, 2 periods in the afternoon. Sixteen of those seniors will apply for an all day-on Fridays. To keep absenteeism to a minimum, some will not be doing internships with fall sports participation.
August 25th Principal Dan Helberg and Superintendent Darren Tobey had lunch with new junior high students. Principals Dan Helberg and Justin Petersen will attend UNK job fair on Thursday looking for English and Spanish openings and substitutes. 9/11 program is scheduled for Monday morning on the courthouse lawn. In case of inclement weather, it will be in the gym. Nineteen seniors have applied for graduation in December. |

Mr. Petersen was on a Podcast for Branching Minds. "Schoolin Around" talked about what MTSS has meant for North Park. Mr. Petersen also talked at a networking event about our "Best First Day Ever". Open house was a success and the Best First day was awesome. Still advertising for Paraeducators with the influx of 1 on 1's. Phonics training is scheduled for September 12-15.

Mrs. Custer is looking at providing Zones of Regulation training for all SPED staff, including paraeducators. This will help staff manage student behaviors and help de-escalate emotions. High School Bow Time has been reorganized to allow for fewer students in core classrooms, allowing core teachers to be able to pull students who need reteaching/retesting. Middle School interventions in both reading and math have started.
