April 19, 2024 8:00 am - 5th -8th Grade Math Curriculum Adoption Committee Meeting #4

1. Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the 5-8 Math Curriculum Selection Committee of the Prescott Unified School District No. 1 and to the general public that the 5-8 Math Curriculum Selection Committee will hold a meeting open to the public.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, all notices of public meetings shall be posted electronically on the district website and physically on an outside bulletin board located to the left of the front doors of the PUSD District Office at 300 East Gurley Street, Prescott, AZ 86301. The bulletin board is available to the public seven days a week, 24 hours a day, including holidays. The notice will indicate the date, time, and place of the meeting, and will include an agenda. Copies of the agenda will be available to the public at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the meeting, upon request. A copy of the complete agenda with names and details, including available support documents may be obtained during regular business hours at the PUSD District Office. 

Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation, such as a sign language interpreter, by contacting Sarah Torres at sarah.torres@prescottschools.com. Requests should be made as early as possible to arrange the accommodation.

• Discuss possible recommendations to the PUSD Governing Board to consider approval of 5th-8th Grade math curriculum for instructional use

• Discuss necessary components of the curriculum to purchase
• Discuss support needed for implementation
• Create a team for PUSD Governing Board presentation

3.C. Future Dates

• April 22, 2024 - June 24, 2024 - Place curriculum on public display (64 days)
• May 7, 2024 - Present recommended curriculum to PUSD Governing Board
• June 25, 2024 - Ask PUSD Governing Board to vote on possibly adopting the recommended curriculum
• July/August 2024 - Purchase and implement new curriculum if adopted
