A Regular Meeting/Budget Workshop of the Board of Trustees of Jacksonville ISD will be held July 30, 2018, with the Budget Workshop beginning at 6:00 PM and the Regular Meeting beginning at 6:30 PM in the Board Room, JISD Administration Bldg., 800 College Avenue, Jacksonville. Executive Session will follow the Regular Meeting.

This special meeting will begin at JHS and end at the Tomato Bowl, and will include a tour of the JHS CTE Facility and the Tomato Bowl currently under construction.

This special meeting has been called for the express purpose of board members touring the Career & Tech Education facility at the Jacksonville High School campus.

Pursuant to Title 19, Part 2, Chapter 61.1 (b) (2) of the Texas Administrative Code, the Board of Trustees shall annually participate with their superintendent in a team-building session.  The team-building session shall be a length deemed appropriate by the board, but generally at least three hours. The purpose of the team-building session is to enhance the effectiveness of the board-superintendent team.  The assessment of needs shall be based on the framework for governance leadership and shall be used to plan continuing education activities for the y ear for the governance leadership team.

This meeting is being called expressly for the delivery of board member continuing education.
