Description:
At this time the board would like to invite any member of the audience to stand with comments about items of interest or concern that do or do not appear on the agenda this evening. Please begin by stating your name and address. It would be appreciated if you would limit your comments to three minutes so that we can keep the meeting moving in a timely fashion and allow others an opportunity to speak. We ask that you remember that Wisconsin law prohibits us from discussing specific employees or their job performance. Thank you for your support of our school district.

7.A. Presentation on Alternative Program by Ehren Klebenow, Director
Description:
Ehren Klebenow, the Director of the Alternative Program, will provide the Board of Education a comprehensive overview of the direction of the Alternative Program, shedding light on its key components and potential areas for growth. Ehren will share a PowerPoint presentation covering various aspects of the Alternative Program, including its goals, student enrollment potential, curriculum details, success stories, and collaborative efforts within the district. Following the presentation, the Board of Education will have the opportunity to engage in a question-and-answer session, seeking clarification and additional information as needed. Ms. Klebenow will then invite discussion and direction from the Board, encouraging input on potential enhancements, alignment with district goals, resource needs, and the long-term vision for the program.

7.B. Student Council Report
Description:
The Student Council Sergeant at Arms will provide an update on the recent activities of various student co-curricular clubs.

7.C. State Report Card
Description:
Dr. Francois and Principal Foster will give a brief overview of the state report card for Waterford Union recently released by the Department of Public Instruction.

7.D. Community Advisory Committee Update
Description:
Hans Noel from Nexxus will be attending virtually to compare the recommendations and will be available to answer any questions.

7.E. School Board Election Notice
Description:
This year, the Board will have two seats open for the April 2024 Spring Election, which are currently held by Dennis Purtell and Jeff Santaga. Notice of the annual school board election will be published as a Type A notice in the Waterford Post of Thursday, November 23, 2023. Persons interested in running for the WUHS Board may submit a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy Form, which must be filed at the District Office no later than 5:00 PM on Tuesday January 2, 2024. If a primary is necessary, the primary election will be held February 20, 2024. The spring election is slated for Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

8.A. Five-Year School Self-Evaluation Summary for Status fo Pupil Nondiscrimination
Description:
The five-year self-evaluation has been completed, and a report is attached. This will be presented for action at the November meeting.

8.B. District Delegate for WASB State Education Convention
Description:
Each year the District is required to name a board member as well as an alternate to serve as district representation at the 2024 Delegate Assembly.
