7. Certification of Tax Levy 2024-2025
Presenter:
Luke Francois
Description:
The District proposes certifying a total tax levy of $12,229,058 across all funds. This levy is intended to cover school operations, pay off additional debt, contribute to the post-employment liability trust, and support community services. The tax levy is broken down as follows:
The budget approved at the annual meeting includes the use of the district's fund balance, as expenditures exceed the revenue limit set by the state of Wisconsin. Despite this, the district will reduce the mill rate (the amount of tax per $1,000 of assessed property value) to $3.99, down from $4.15, where it has remained for the past four years. This $3.99 mill rate is the same as the rate levied back in 1984. |
