7.A. Cheer Team - State Qualifiers
Description:
The WUHS cheer team recently competed at the WIAA state level, where they finished in 6th place. The team is coached by Shiree Stout and Andi Martens. Cheer squad members are: Arielle Adams, Serena Druktenis, Daniela Holma, Ashley Hunter, Dakota Jurgens, Payton Luznicky, Emma Pawlak, Lia Pozel, Briona Urban, Savannah Velez, Aurora Williams, and Jennifer Wold

7.B. State Wrestling Qualifier
Description:
Hudson Halter qualified for the state wrestling tournament, which was held at the Kohl's center in Madison Feb. 23-25. Hudson took 5th in his weight class (120).

7.C. E-Sports Team
Description:
The WUHS Esports team has been ranked 2nd in the Central Region for their participation in Rocket League competitions. Team members are Trevor Allen, Adam Bienaman, Matthew Catapano, Noah Leshok, and Sebastian Ollanketo. The team is coached by Sam Schmidt.

Description:
At this time the board would like to invite any member of the audience to stand with comments about items of interest or concern that do or do not appear on the agenda this evening. Please begin by stating your name and address. It would be appreciated if you would limit your comments to three minutes so that we can keep the meeting moving in a timely fashion and allow others an opportunity to speak. We ask that you remember that Wisconsin law prohibits us from discussing specific employees or their job performance. Thank you for your support of our school district.

9.A. Student Council Report
Description:
The Student Council Sergeant at Arms will provide an update on the recent activities of various student co-curricular clubs.

9.B. WEC Proposal - Transition Coordinator
Description:
MIke Rosandich, Director of Special Education and Pupil Services, along with Susie Thomas, WUHS Special Education Teacher, will present their proposal for the creation of a Transition Coordinator position. The person hired to fill this position would assist special education students as they transition through high school, and until they reach age 21.

Description:
If the Governor's budget passes, school districts will be far better off, particularly in FY 2025, the second year of the biennium.
The scenario attached projects the Governor's revenue. This scenario uses the key revenue portions of the Governor's proposal (shown in blue). Key results for Waterford Union are shown in green.

9.F. Referendum Update
Description:
March 18 was the final Referendum Talk and Tour. Multiple videos and Facebook Live accounts are on the high school website. March 23 at 5 PM is a Grill and Gab at the WUHS softball fields. The community is welcome to join the high school staff for a free hotdog and an opportunity to learn about the referendum.
On April 3 from 4:30 PM to 6 PM, the community can join the high school staff for a Pregame Pitch at the WUHS softball fields with the opportunity to learn more about the referendum. In-person early voting starts on March 21, with election day on April 4. |
