 All Melissa ISD schools and offices are closed, due to inclement weather and potentially hazardous road conditions in the area. As a result, this meeting has been rescheduled to next Tuesday February 23, 2021, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Student Union at Melissa High School (and via Google Meet). In light of the emergent circumstances related to the February 2021 winter storm, a reasonably unforeseeable situation, and pursuant to Governor Abbott’s emergency disaster declaration on February 12, 2021, this notice for an emergency meeting of the Melissa ISD Board of Trustees is hereby posted pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.045 more than one hour prior to the start of the Board meeting. The public necessity requires the Board of Trustees to meet to deliberate and respond to the damage and destruction caused by the unforeseeable winter storm for the public health and safety of students and staff. A quorum of the board members will be participating by telephone and/or videoconference.
