VI. OLD BUSINESS

B. Food Service Provider Approval - Mrs. Jessica Gallegos, JVPS Specialist (Discussion/Action)
The bids for the Food Service RFP vendor were reviewed and scored by the committee on Thursday, May 12th. The committee selected Southwest Foodservice Excellence, LLC as the potential vendor for FY 22-23 based on the following:

• 75% of the menu will be cooked from scratch. 
• The only company that was school-based K-12
• Availability of a food truck for events and student award program

Although they were not the lowest bidder, the fact that they provided the extras listed above was attractive enough to warrant the additional expense. The staff feels that our students will benefit from meals that are made from scratch rather than warmed. Canteen was the lowest bidder. However, per the student/parent survey, there was high dissatisfaction with the services and products provided.

Staff recommends approval of Southwest Foodservice Excellence, LLC as the food service provider for Jemez Valley Public Schools for FY 22-23.
