IX. CLOSED SESSION: Under the authority of the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, the Board will enter into closed or Executive Session to discuss the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property Gov’t Code 555.072, Deployment or Specific Occasions for Implementation of Security Personnel or Devices Gov’t Code 551.076, and Employment, Retirement, Resignation & Discussion of Personnel, Gov’t Code 551.074, Consultation with Attorney Gov't Code 551.071.
IX.1. Real Property
To deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, of real property if deliberation in a open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the Board's position in negotiations with a third person (Texas Government Code 551.072) 
IX.2. Personnel
To deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee, including Board Members, or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee (Texas Government Code 551.074)
IX.3. Consultation with Attorney 
To consult with its attorney when the Board seeks advice about pending or contemplated litigation or a settlement offer, or when the attorney will have an ethical duty of confidentiality (Texas Government Code 551.071) 
IX.4. Security Devices or Security Audits 
To deliberate the development, or specific occasions for implementation of security personnel devices or a security audit (Texas Government Code 551.076)
X. IV. Public Comments 
Description:
Audience participation at a Board meeting is limited to the public comment portion of the meeting designated for that purpose. At all other times during a Board meeting, the audience shall not enter into discussion or debate on matters being considered by the Board, unless requested by the presiding officer. No presentation shall exceed five minutes. Delegations of more than five persons shall appoint one person to present their views before the Board.

Specific factual information or recitation of existing policy may be furnished in response to inquiries, but the Board shall not deliberate or decide regarding any subject that is not included on the agenda posted with notice of the meeting. The presiding officer or designee shall determine whether a person addressing the Board has attempted to solve a matter administratively through resolution channels established by policy. If not, the person shall be referred to the appropriate policy to seek resolution: Employee complaints: DGBA; Student or parent complaints: FNG; Public complaints: GF.
