Description:
In any instance where Texas or federal laws imposes a requirement to competitively procure any good or service costing less than $50,000, or where law applies.  This will be for the fiscal year of 2026-2027.

The Rains ISD Board of Trustees has authorized the Superintendent to develop purchasing procedures to meet state and federal laws.  This self-certification must be approved annually to allow purchases below $50,000.

Description:

Rains ISD is a member of the Texas Association of School Boards and, as a part of our service agreement, we receive policy updates for our LEGAL and LOCAL policies periodically, which reflect changes in education law and rules.  

Although LEGAL policies are not adopted by the board, TASB recommends that the board review them. Board action is required on the LOCAL policies.  Each LOCAL policy affected by this update are provided in this packet.
