VI.G. Update and Review Vacation Leave Buyout Option:
VI.G.1. Currently, an annual vacation leave buyout option of up to 40 hours is offered to employees with more than 80 hours of accrued vacation leave, to be exercised once per year in either June or November, subject to available funding.
Proposed Update:
Revise the policy to allow eligible employees who meet the accrual requirement to exercise the Vacation Leave Buyout Option up to two times per year, once in June and once in November, subject to available funding. Approval of buyout requests is subject to available funding. All requests must be submitted in accordance with established payroll and HR procedures.
VI.H. Presentation and acceptance of “Belonging, Communication, and Intent to Stay: An Improvement Science Approach to Public Health Workforce Retention,” Dissertation in Practice (DiP), presented by Terra Uhing, as the final Board of Health briefing and product.
