     RECOMMENDATIONS

8.a. Edmentum EdOptions Academy (Nicollet Virtual Academy)
 Superintendent recommends entering into a contract with Edmentum to provide Courseware Curriculum to be used for electives, course alternatives, and credit  recovery.  We would purchase 25 student licenses and one year professional development for $4222.75.
  EdOptions Academy (Nicollet Virtual Academy) post pay $1600 one semester full time and $2400 per student enrolled full time.  The students enrolled in EdOptions  Academy would be registered as full time Nicollet students.


 

8.b. Superintendent recommends amending the classified staff handbooks changing; The District will provide single coverage to the District will contribute up to $1100 per  month toward single or family medical coverage.

 


 

8.c. Food Service Director / NECC Assistant Latchkey Director

    The Superintendent recommends creating the position of Food Service Director / Assistant NECC Latchkey Director under the conditions outlined in the attached LOA for Kendra Hoffman

8.d. Assistant NECC Director Infants & Toddlers / NECC Lead Teacher

The Superintendent recommends creating the position of Assistant NECC Director  Infants & Toddlers / NECC Lead Teacher under the conditions outlined in the attached  LOA for Ashlie VanWynswyk

8.e. The Superintendent recommends board approval of the 2026-2027 Parent Student

Handbook.  The handbook is attached and changes are highlighted  in the 

Attachment.

   

8.f. The Superintendent recommends board approval of the 2026-2027 Faculty  Handbook.  The faculty handbook has not been actively used or revised since 2021-2022.  The handbook provides clear guidelines and expectations for faculty  based on District Policy, protocols, and contract language

Description:
The school board meeting is a meeting in the public, not a public meeting.  Nicollet School Board Policy provides that persons who wish to have a subject discussed at a public school board meeting are encouraged to notify the superintendent’s office in advance of the school board meeting.  The school board chair will recognize one speaker at a time and will rule out of order other speakers who are not recognized, violations of data privacy, or inappropriate comments.
