Cameron ISD Public View

The Board shall provide an opportunity for the public to address the Board regarding an item on the agenda for any open meeting of the Board before or during the Board's consideration of the agenda item, provided the requirement of "Written Notice" described in Policy BED Local is met.

A member of the public who desires to address the Board on an agenda or non-agenda item must deliver the following information to the Superintendent of Schools, by a method permitted under Policy BED Local, no later than 24 hours before the applicable Board meeting is posted to begin, except that if the Board meeting is scheduled to be held on a Monday, then the following information must be received by the Superintendent of Schools no later than 9:00 a.m. the day of the Board meeting.

1. The name of the person wishing to address the Board;
2. The agenda item to be addressed; and
3. A written statement of the substance of the oral address.

Each testimonial address will be limited to 2 (two) minutes or 4 (four) minutes for members of the public addressing the Board through a translator.
