DISCUSSION ITEMS
Discussion:
The CMS ELA was recently posted due to a rise in enrollment numbers at the middle school, specifically in the 6th grade.
Initial Superintendent Goals & Objectives - these are Superintendent McKenna's goals and objectives at this time. Mr. McKenna thanked the business office and Rich for solving problems daily over the busy summer. The administrative team has been willing to come in and work over the summer even though they're off contract. McKenna is remaining positive with the facilities and the start of school being on schedule. Crews will be laying the Mill Creek driveway this week. Lakeland is coming together with new doors in place and the six classrooms are still slated to move into on the 28th. Health Department of Northwest Michigan has a new space at Lakeland and it will be great. Cherryland Middle School has mostly external work at this time and there will be some changes to the playground area. Josh Haggerty and Angie Nichols have already started this planning. Elk Rapids High School are working hard on the art room and media center with it looking on track for an August 28th move in date for teachers to be in their classrooms before the first official day back for professional development on August 30th. |
