Quorum Determination

Closed Session - The Board will meet in Closed Session, as permitted under the Texas Government Code, § 551.074(a)(1) - Personnel Matters, to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee, if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the governmental body in negotiations with a third person, Texas as permitted under Texas Government Code §551.071, to consult with legal counsel regarding the following: pending litigation, Lake Travis Independent School District vs. M.L. b/n/f D.L. and M.L., Civil Action No. A-06-CA-046-SS, pending in the United States District Court – Western District – Austin Division; contemplated litigation; and to receive legal advice regarding a matter in which the duty of the legal counsel to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Open Meetings Act., Texas Government Code, § 551.072 - Deliberation Regarding Real Property, to deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property, and Texas Government Code §551.074, to consider the Quarterly Performance Evaluation of the Superintendent of Schools.
