3. Motion to go into Closed Session:

3.A. [Section 551.071, Government Code - Consultation With Attorney:] For a private consultation with the Board’s attorney with respect to pending or contemplated litigation or settlement offers, and/or on matters where the attorney's duty to the Board, under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the open government provisions of Chapter 551 of the Government Code, to wit:

3.A.1. Legal issues dealing with items proposed for Closed Session.

3.B. [Section 551.072, Government Code - deliberation regarding Real Property:] To deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the Board in negotiations with a third party, to wit:

3.B.1. Proposed lease of Mirasol Park from San Antonio Housing Authority.

3.C. [Section 551.074, Texas Government Code - Personnel Matters:] To deliberate the, appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee, to wit:

3.C.1. Proposed additional ground for termination of a continuing contract employee.

3.C.2. Proposed employment of new hires:

3.C.2.a. William Telford Jr.: to an Administrator position, at Pay Grade AP4 through Pay Grade AP9, depending on assignment, with employment to be subject to assignment and reassignment by the Superintendent. [NOTE: Mr. Telford has been interviewed for possible assignment to the position of Principal of Memorial High School.]

3.C.3. Proposed promotions:

3.C.3.a. Albert Snow: Pay Grade AP7 up to and including Pay Grade AP8, depending on assignment, subject to assignment and reassignment by the Superintendent. [NOTE: Mr. Snow has been interviewed for possible assignment to the position of middle school principal.]

3.C.3.b. Emilia Lira: Pay Grade 8 up to and including Pay Grade AP5, depending on assignment, subject to assignment and reassignment by the Superintendent. [NOTE: Ms. Lira has been interviewed for possible assignment to the position of middle school assistant principal.]

3.C.3.c. Cynthia Pena: Pay Grade AP4 up to and including Pay Grade AP6, depending on assignment, subject to assignment and reassignment by the Superintendent. [NOTE: Ms. Pena has been interviewed for possible assignment to the position of high school assistant principal.]

3.C.4. Proposed re-hires:

3.C.4.a. Eddie Rodriguez: Pay Grade AP4, subject to assignment and reassignment by the Superintendent.
