2. Communication from Citizens: (Board Policy BED)
At the beginning of each scheduled Board meeting, the Board shall allot time to hear persons who desire to make comments to the Board. Persons who wish to participate in this portion of the meeting shall sign up at the Superintendent's office by 5:00 p.m. and shall indicate the topic on the agenda about which they wish to speak and other information as may be required. Speakers shall share any and all materials with the Superintendent's office by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the scheduled meeting. Presentations may be for three minutes or less, depending on the number of persons who have signed up to speak. Non-English speakers who require a translator may receive up to six minutes to speak. The presiding officer of the meeting may modify or waive these time limits as appropriate.
