Targeting skills that need to improve. Implemented typing as this will be included on the STAAR. Jacob Williams - last year scores. Last year they have discussed getting aligned with the Middle school. Last year tutorial plan solid. Teachers gave 1000 percent. Where are we going - look at every kid individually. Individualized tutorial plans. Have increased the math lab classes - if they were unsuccessful in math in 8th grade, they are offering the lab this year. Overall rating was 86 at high school. CCMR is going to be a driver to get HS to an A status. With CCMR in place there will be closer to an A - every kid runs through a CTE class their freshman year. loosing from 5 - freshman. Test scores reflect a deficit. Kevin wants to know what we can do to help 5th grades prepare for 6th grade middle school. Are we teaching students about time management with homework? Identify the gaps of what they are missing. There are campus alignment - vertical. HS Started last year at high school - hoping that it will pay off this year. Canvas was introduced to the 8th grade students since that is being used at the HS. Kevin wants to make sure that we are preparing our kids from one transition to another so they will prepared - not just teaching TEKS, but also teaching time management, etc. How much parental activity goes with students who are individually identified?
