Patty - Bilingual presentation. problem seeing - native language is not being built in order to translate to English. One way dual language - preK to 3rd
PreK, Kinder and 1st Lange Science and Social studies in their native language Teachers received a check list of what is expected in their classrooms; training for MS and HS staff ; holding teachers accountable and helping where support is needed when changes are made, it normally takes about 3 years to see a major difference in grades. How are we going to make sure that the change is going to be effective? Kevin, would it be possible to see the same presentation after we have benchmarks to see if there is any increase, Formal benchmarks are beginning of the year, middle of the year and end of year. Would like to see a presentation in January. |

Trina - Counselor update. Counseling survey results - academic and career development, character, individual counseling, etc. .... issues, bullying, etc.
New things that will be brought to the counseling programs....biggest things this year is to put information out to the parents - push it out so all will know that the resources are available. advisory council twice a year - school counselors, administrators, staff, students, parents. community members. Positive character traits. Parent education series - fall 2021 and spring 2022 - will any series be recording so they can be posted?? Kevin - how are we assessing or measuring the impacts of the character traits - would like to see a survey mid year and make sure that it's helping how many students will be on the council. Has heard that some students feel like they don't have a voice. Would suggest that canvassing is done sooner than later. College night earlier in the year because of scholarship and college application deadlines. Amy - anonymous hotline? |

Pilot Point Intermediate (now Elementary sPP crap, deleted information. see presentation MS scores - see presentation Action plans HS Action plan - ELL and campus wide; STAAR aligned curriculum checks given each six weeks, STAAR failures: STAAR interventions 25 minutes per week, start interventions in September, etc... Bubble students - regularly benchmark students, closely monitoring, SPED |

Dr. Colson, property and casualty information provided by TPS - insurance premiums is increasing. 2020-2021 cost was
2021-2022 No insurance companies are accepting new clients. Several different companies contacted but no one accepted. TPS with underwriters Lord's of London buydown. Not offering buydown this year.
