Description:
We acknowledge that the sacred land that we live and learn on today belongs to the Takelma, Shasta, Modoc, Klamath & Umpqua peoples. We honor and acknowledge the traditional owners of the land we now call the United States. We recognize the Native American peoples' continuing connection to land, place, waters, and community. We pay our respects to their cultures, country, and elders, past, present, and emerging.

5.A. Board Policy EFA: Local Wellness Plan - First read
Presenter:
Superintendent Joseph Hattrick
Description:
Director of Nutrition Services Christina Lehman will join the discussion to explain the importance of this policy to our Free and Reduced Lunch Programs. The policy is overdue for an update to meet current recommendations. The new policy version incorporates much of what was once in an Administrative Regulation and OSBA recommends that the AR be deleted.

5.D. Board Policy: IKF Diploma Requirements - First read
Description:
The district's policy on graduation requirements lists the option of receiving an Alternative Certificate, which is no longer allowed. Districts are asked to delete this and replace it with a Certificate of Attendance. The requirements remain essentially the same. This distinguishes the option from modified or extended diplomas.
