3.B. Annual McKinney-Vento Report 15 minutes

Description:
A required annual update on the services provided by the District to students experiencing houseless conditions, as required by the Federal McKinney-Vento law.

Description:
The District needs to adopt two new curricula: One for Social and Emotional Learning and another for Online Instructional Materials.

3.D. Healthy and Safe Schools (HASS) Plan 15 minutes

Description:
This plan is required by the Oregon Department of Education to summarize a variety of health and safety measures that the District must perform and post to the public each year. ODE has approved this plan and it requires approval by the Board.

4. Board Operations 30 minutes

4.A. Board Policy Adoption - Clarify and confirm the revised approach to policy updates and new adoptions

Description:
Attached are two policies that require updates:
1. DH Loss Coverage - a sample of a change that updates language. 2. GBL Personnel Records - a required policy covering important legal changes impacting district employees that may require more careful reading. Also attached are current Board policies on Policy Development and Policy Adoption and revision.

4.B. Recording of Work Sessions

Description:
The Board has traditionally not recorded the proceedings of work sessions. A discussion of whether to continue or revise this practice.

4.C. OSBA annual election and resolutions
Presenter:
Board Chair Rebecca Dyson
Description:
Review of proposed actions in the current OSBA election. A final vote is to be taken at the December 14 regular session.

5. The Board will adjourn into executive session per ORS 192.660(2)(d) to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to carry on labor negotiations.
