4. Public Hearing - The purpose of this Public Hearing is to discuss the 2019-2020 West ISD Budget and Proposed Tax Rate. Note: The proposed 2019-2020 total West ISD Tax Rate is $1.19. Property appraisals, which influence the effective tax rate, are not determined by West ISD. Presented by Charles Mikeska, Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations. [District Goal #4]

Action - Consideration and possible action by the Board to adopt the 2019-2020 Tax Rate of $1.19 per $100 valuation to be divided as follows: $.97 Maintenance and Operations; and $.22 Interest and Sinking. Action - Consideration and possible action by the Board to approve the "Resolution Expressing Official Intent to Reimburse Certain Expenditures of the West Independent School District, McLennan and Hill Counties, Texas". 9. Action - Consideration and possible action by the Board to approve a Texas Education Agency (TEA) Maximum Class Size Exemption Waiver for the 2019-2020 school year for Grade 1 at West Elementary School. Note: This state waiver is required under the provision of TEC §25.112 if any class for grades K-4 exceeds the allowable class size limit of 22 students per class (22:1). An exemption expires at the end of the school year for which it is granted. Presented by David Truitt, Superintendent. [District Goals #4 and 5]
