Description:

Description:
The consent agenda shall include items of a routine and/or recurring nature grouped together under one action item. 7)g) Consider Resolution in Support of Military-Connected Students and Families

Description:
The Purple Star Campus Designation recognizes Texas district and charter schools that show their support and commitment to meeting the unique needs of military-connected students and their families. This special honor was created by the 86th Texas Legislature through SB 1557 and further described in agency rule (19 TAC, § 61.1063), effective April 9, 2020. Every fall, TEA awards the Purple Star Campus designation to campuses that apply and meet the established criteria (see below). Campuses that are selected will receive a special Purple Star recognition to display on campus or on the school website. Campuses selected will also have their designation featured on the TxSchools.gov web page.

7)h) 2nd Discussion and Possible Consideration Review of TASB's Comprehensive Review and District Policy Recommendations

Description:
The administrative team, including district administrators, directors, and campus administrators, conducted a comprehensive review of local policies with our policy consultant in February 2024. The process intends to align policy and practice while reflecting new laws and legislation. Once the review was completed, our policy consultant documented the recommended changes and sent them in the attachment below. Many of the changes include updating dates, titles, website links, and moving policies under more appropriate headings. |
7)i) Discussion and possible consideration of the Hill College MOU regarding dual credit courses.

Description:
Hill College and Godley ISD are partnering to provide dual credit coursework to Godley ISD students. The memorandum of understanding regarding the high school partnership model allows students to complete
dual credit courses with multiple entrance and exit points. Hill College and Godley ISD will commit to the terms outlined in the MOU. |
