Board Goal 5 - Roscoe Collegiate ISD will attain the P-Tech designation with Distinguished status as described by TEA's CCRSM P-TECH Blueprint by increasing postsecondary enrollment through continuation of year 13/14 from 31% in 2022 to 90% in 2027.

GPM 5.1 - The percentage of graduating students earning a state recognized Industry Based Certification will increase from 64% in 2023 to 65% by May 2024.

GPM 5.2 - The percentage of 10th grade students meeting the TSIA component will increase from 31% in August 2023 to 65% in May 2024.

GPM 5.3 - The percentage of graduating students attaining an Associates degree will increase from 64% in August 2023 to 65% in May 2024.

Constraint 1 - The superintendent shall not allow campus administration or staff to eliminate, or neglect the implementation fo a positive behavior intervention system on each campus.

CPM 1.1 - The percentage of teacher leaders and administrators trained in Capturing Kids Hearts will increase from 0% in August 2022 to 100% in August 2023.
|
CPM 1.2 - The percentage of teachers and administrators district wide implementing Capturing Kids Hearts with fidelity as measure by the RCISD rubric will increase from 0% in August 2023 to 100% in August 2025.

Constraint 5 - The superintendent shall not allow administration or staff to eliminate the expecation that all students will be placed on a degree plan leading to an industry based certification in addition to AA/AAS/AAT/AS by high school graduation and a baccalaureate degree within 2 years under the P-TECH model.

CPM 5.1 - Administration will ensure that within 30 days of enrollment, the percentage of high school students having a degree plan as measured by their pathway, IBC, associates degree, and post-secondary plans will not decrease below 100%.

Approve the Risk Management Cooperative of Texas Renewal Quote 2024-25 with RMC of Texas in the amount of $248,611 dollars
Description:
The risk management insurance covers RCISD buildings, automobiles, and liability for employees and board members. An adjuster was on site at RCISD at the tail end of the spring 2024 semester. As a result, the insurance increased from $219,703 in 2023-24 the current price listed on the agenda.
The recommendation is to renew the insurance. |
Consider action to approve the Apple Incorporated Educational Price Quote #2212861877 in amount of $503,141.25 for student computers
Description:
The recommendation is to approve the quote. The purchase of the computers will upgrade all student computers Pre-K through 12th grade. The upgrade is needed due to our current computers do not have the necessary components to administer the STAAR Test.
Additionally, please know that $117,255.45 dollars will be taken from remaining ESSER funds. With the use of these ESSER funds, RCISD would have spent all the allocated funds. No additional ESSER funds exist. |

Description:
The recommendation is to approve the quote. These computers are for teachers, administrators, and other employees. We are upgrading the technology.

Consider action to approve South Plains Communications proposal for Digital P25 Conventional System in the amount of $52,887.54 (Buy Board # 696-23)
Description:
The recommendation is to approve the purchase of this repeater. The repeater will allow RCISD to be in compliance with safety and security mandates. Through the county wide safety meetings coordinated by the Nolan County Sherriff, it has been determined that most of the county emergency responders will utilize this repeater to be in communication with each other in the instance of an emergency.
