Description:
In visiting with Chief Pantoja, there are revisions requested. Paragraph 3 (page 1), language was added to explain that the police department would be responsible for overtime (once SRO has exceeded 40 hours for the week) when the officer is conducting police business outside of RCISD. RCISD would pay for overtime if duties are within RCISD.
Paragraph 11 (page 6) language added that states duties outside of RCISD will be determined in conjunction with the Chief of Police. Lastly, there is not an amount of salary specified in the contract. This is intentional. The Chief of Police has asked if the starting salary for the SRO be increased to $40,000 annually plus benefits; total is approximately $47,000. I recommend accepting the increase as we have found difficulty finding appliants. |
