1. Call to Order
Discussion:
Meeting called to order at 7:32 a.m. with the following present:
Jody Tibbetts, Gretchen Brown, Veronica Lane, Bill Gregoski, John Westman, Heather Valasek, Kathy Wolfe, Justin Valasek, Joel Bohlken, Sherise Loeffelbein, Kristin Reimers. |

2. Approve minutes of December 20, 2024 meeting
Discussion:
Motion to approve minutes by Wolfe, second by Loeffelbein. All present voted aye.

3. Wellness

3.1. Review school wellness practices
Discussion:
Reviewed: School Meals, Physical Education, Essential Physical Activity Topics in Health Education, Recess (Elementary), Classroom Physical Activity Breaks (Elementary and Secondary), Active Academics.

3.2. Attendance
Discussion:
Discussed absences from past harsher than usual cold/flu season and sanitizing practices to mitigate to the extent possible.

4. Safety

4.1. Review accident reports
Discussion:
Reviewed two reports of minor recess injuries.
|
|
4.2. Review monthly internal safety inspection sheets
Discussion:
No facility safety issues noted.
|

4.3. Fire, tornado, security drills
Discussion:
Fire and tornado drills this week. Bus evacuation and intruder drills TBD this spring.

4.4. Annual external safety review
Discussion:
Sheriff Westman presented and discussed the annual safety inspection report.
|

5. Other
Discussion:
Heather Valasek checking on AED pads and vaccination codes.
Invite Jenna Church, Region 44 Emergency Manager, to Safety meeting. Sheriff and EMT are going to try to attend the next security drill. Test the E3 external alert button this summer. |
