III.A. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Mr. Karpe gave the superintendent's report. He went over the utilities report. There is a lot of construction going on this summer and we plan to be finished by the start of school. A few of the staff went to a weapons training session a few weeks ago at MATC. They received 40 hours of training and now five staff members will carry guns on campus. A board member recommended buying a bullet-proof vest for the staff carrying a weapon. Mr. Karpe is going to look into this.
