Discussion:
Communications Coordinator Jade Temple explained the process to develop a new Douglas logo and branding plan. The Patriot will continue to represent the Douglas legacy with an updated tagline and consistent color scheme used across the district and activities. The branding guide will be posted on the website.

Superintendent Kevin Case reported that the Region IV Superintendents and Business Managers, who meet once a month, met at Douglas on Friday for a tour of Ellsworth Air Force Base. After lunch was provided, he shared some specifics to Douglas and the Box Elder community growth. 28th Bomb Wing Commander Col Derek Oakley and 28th MSG Commander Col Patrice Holmes briefed the group on the Doolittle Raider legacy and Ellsworth's role in today's world. Many thanks for a great tour!
Superintendent Case stated that the 2024-25 negotiations are still in process, and the Wellness Committee will have its first meeting on Wednesday with Dr. Andrew Koenig facilitating. |

Committee Reports from Board Members and Comments from Associate Board Members
Tonya Welch reported that the post-prom event this past weekend went well. The Activity Banquet will be April 29 at 6:30 p.m. with walking tacos provided by Booster Club, and the next meeting will be May 9 at 6:00 p.m. Chris Misselt remarked on not having a school board election since 2018. This is a community of 3,000 kids, 400 staff and 14,000 people. He would encourage folks to come forward and participate. Amy McGovern attended the Box Elder Area Chamber of Commerce meeting. It was a normal business meeting. Tanya Gray will attend the Black Hills Special Services Cooperative Board of Directors meeting this week. She commented that the Douglas prom attendees represented Douglas well at the Monument. |
