13.A. Superintendent:
Discussion:
Superintendent Kevin Case outlined the plan for advertising and hiring the two Central Office Administrator openings for 2024-25. The Executive Director of Secondary Academics and Executive Director of Operational Support positions will be advertised tomorrow with a plan to hire in early February. They will also advertise for a Director of Human Resources, not for an additional position but as an option. Will discuss in more detail with proposed job description at January 8 meeting. He also added that the high school is having some conversations on changing the location of the high school graduation.

Committee Reports from Board Members and Comments from Associate Board Members
Chris Misselt stated he had attended several committee meetings recently: Ed Council, Covid Recovery Committee and Audit Committee. There are reports from each of the meetings available. Amy McGovern added she responded to the Covid Recovery Committee survey and email. The Box Elder Area Chamber of Commerce will meet next week. Patrice Holmes reported the Patriot School gate will be closed from December 22 through January 5. It will open again on January 8. Tonya Amaral encouraged everyone to vote on the Booster Club Parade of Trees at the Box Elder Event Center. The Booster Club has designated the American Legion Post #315 as the recipient if the Douglas tree wins. She attended the Curriculum Coordinating Committee meeting today, as well as the Audit Committee. Tanya Gray invited BOE members to attend next Sunday's ASBSD session. She is leading one of the sessions. One of the questions posed is how does your Board recognize student success? Yesterday's sessions hosted some great dialogue. |
