3. Recognition: ASBSD ALL Award to Douglas School Board
Discussion:
On behalf of the Associated School Boards of South Dakota, Superintendent Kevin Case presented the Douglas School Board with the ALL award for its time, effort and commitment in participating in activities and training opportunities in the 2022-23 school year , as well as, demonstrating leadership in local and state meetings. The Douglas School Board earned the Gold Level award which is 500 points or more.

Discussion:
Superintendent Kevin Case and Business Manager Trista Olney attended the Fall NAFIS Conference in Washington DC last week. It's an important conference as it gives the opportunity to meet with other federally impacted schools across the country and to stay connected to our legislators.

Tonya Amaral stated Booster Club will be opening a store by the end of the week with some really cool Douglas gear. This is homecoming week with Coronation on Tuesday night, parade at 1:45 on Friday and walking tacos at 5:00 before the football game. The next Booster Club meeting is October 16 at 6:00 p.m. Amy McGovern attended the Box Elder Area Chamber of Commerce meeting. The ribbon cutting for Black Hills Federal Credit Union is this week. The Monster Mash is October 27 at the Box. |
