6. Principal’s Report
Discussion:
Mrs. Brittany Jesseph shared end of the year testing data with the board. We have shown steady growth over the past 5 years. We have also had significant improvement in attendance data. Mr. Heath Birkel updated the board on the early summer student activities and discussed potential extracurricular sponsor openings.

7.2. Buildings, Grounds, and Transportation Committee Meeting Review
Discussion:
Mr. Furrow provided a tour of the facility to discuss summer project plans. Mr. Birkel has been working on organizing and displaying awards and has developed a system for keeping our plaques and trophies updated. Mr. Furrow also shared the radio communication plan with the board. Mr. Matt Stutzman researched the options for a two-way radio system and found an option that is effective and more cost effective.

7.3. Nutrition Discussion
Discussion:
Mr. Furrow updated the board on a discussion with our school attorney on how to handle grossly negligent lunch bills. The board also discussed lunch prices for the upcoming school year. It was decided to raise meal prices $0.10 for the 2025-26 school year. The board also discussed a $20,000 transfer from the general fund to the nutrition fund to cover expenses incurred during the summer school session.

7.4. Review of Curriculum, Americanism, and Multicultural Committee Meeting
Discussion:
Mr. Furrow and the Curriculum committee informed the board of the Nebraska State Standards that were in tonight's action items for approval as our curriculum in all academic areas. This was done to make sure the school was in Rule 10 compliance. A folder of artifacts for both multicultural education and evidence that we are complying with the state statute on Americanism was shared as well.

7.5. Review Policy on Board Ethics - 202.01
Discussion:
Mr. Mike Reiff, board president, and Mr. Furrow reviewed the school policy on board ethics with the board. This is done as an annual reminder of a board member's duties when they are convened as a board and their responsibilities when they are in public.
