2. Discuss the K-12 social studies curriculum and related activities that satisfy statutory requirements.
Discussion:
The members of the BOE and the staff who were in attendance reviewed the original legislative bill, LB 399, the American Civics document, and the report template. The committee discussed the standards with staff and administration to mske sure that Tri County is in compliance with the state. The BOE felt very comfident the district is meeting the expectations of the legislation and that the students of Tri County are getting solid instruction in the areas of histor and civics.
