President Opela called the regular meeting of the Stapleton Public Schools Board of Education to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021, in the library at Stapleton Public Schools.

Discussion:
The treasurer's report was presented by Superintendent Gaffney.

Community Liaison
Discussion:
Lacy Kinderknecht gave her Community Liaisons' report which included: attended March Chamber meeting with Jr. Chamber members, also helped along with NHS members with Easter egg hunt, summer activities, discussion on family night at golf course in May, Walk at Lunch Day on April 28th, Foundation meeting tomorrow and wrapping up gala and continue to share pictures and articles with newspaper and website.

Activities Director Report
Discussion:
The Activities Director's report given by Jason Wehnes included the following: congratulations to State Speech duet (Hannah Burnside & Trinity Hansen) 6th place and Informative Speaking (Trinity Hansen) 4th, track and golf have begun with some weather interruptions: Boys Track 12 members, Girls Track 7 and Golf 11, and NSAA spring sports guidelines.

Discussion:
Principal Walker's report included: Reading, implementation of PBIS schoolwide, Blue and Gold Graduation cords for 6 students that earned 12 or more credits with MPCC, Nebraska Health Standards, targeted summer school and 2021-2022 school calendar.

Building and Grounds had opening of the bids for the new building and now waiting on next phase.

Discussion:
Brenda Monson, K-6 Special Education Teacher, presented to the board what is happening with curriculum for the SPED students.

The Board discussed targeted summer school and possible transportation and also proposed health standards in the Legislature with a letter to be sent in regards to the board and administrations stand on items in the bill.
