Texas Senate Bill 13 mandates proposed library materials be posted publicly for at least 30 days before board consideration. Redwater ISD has posted the required list on the district website, along with a statement noting Region 8 ESC review, the 30-day public posting period, and an invitation for community feedback through an online form. The information is available on the Redwater ISD Libraries page.

In addition, TXK Today featured the Redwater Key Club's canned food fundraiser in an article focusing on food drives across Texarkana schools amid rising holiday need.

The Redwater ISD second annual 10,000 for the Troops initiative was a success. The Art Departments created 1,200 cards for active service members, 148 more than last year, expressing holiday wishes and gratitude for their service.

The Golden Dragons participated in the Veterans Day Program and contributed to the second annual 10,000 for the Troops initiative by making cards for veterans alongside students from each campus. They created 54 additional cards, bringing the Redwater ISD total to 1,254. Following the activity, students led tours of the junior high and elementary schools.
