I.I. Items to be removed from the Consent Agenda
Discussion:
Executive Director of Business Operations and Human Relations Dave Melick said out of the initial 45 who were eligible for TERIP, the list has been narrowed down to 22 people with five being administrators. Melick said these people will be invited to a meeting tomorrow afternoon or Thursday morning. Early retirement has been offered the last three years and each time six people have taken it. One of the board members asked why the initial list was so much higher. Melick said there were a number on the list that took time off or taught for some years out of state. He said the first list is just years taught and age. Melick said in order to qualify for the rule of 85, a person must be 55 years old. Dr. Loeffelholz said he is recommending that administrators be included in the incentive. He said the benefit is the same if a person is a teacher or administrator.

I.L.1.1. TERIP Proposal 2018-2019
Discussion:
45 initially eligible. Narrowed down to 22 and five administrators. They have been invited to meetings tomorrow after noon or Thursday morning. Have offered last three years and six people have taken it each year. There were a number on the list that took time off and came back or some did years out of state. The first list is years taught and age. You must be 55 to hit the rule of 85. it is expensive to buy back years aso not many people do it. Troy is recommending that we include administrators. It is the same benefit no mater what it is not any more or any else. Last year was the first year administrators were put in for a few years. Last year it is all the same for both teachers and administrators. Theresa it saved us money last year.

Tim Pospisil told incoming board member Mike Jeffryes that he will be working with some outstanding people, and if he ever had questions to give him a call. Pospisil will keep the district informed if he hears of any cyber threats targeting schools. He also congratulated Jason Schapmann for getting to referee a state championship football game at Memorial Stadium. Doug Willoughby said Pospisil has been a valuable asset to the board and brought a special skill set that the rest of board did not have. He also reminded the board to wish Human Resources Coordinator Kathy Leischner at the Administration Building good luck because her last day before retirement is January 11. He also wished everyone a blessed Christmas. Mike Goos wished everyone a Merry Christmas. He also told Pospisil it has been a pleasure to have him on the board. Goos said Pospisil’s passion and willingness to serve is a special trait. Candy Becher said she will miss Pospisil. She said he brings an intellect that will be missed. Becher said Pospisil always thought a lot before he brought things to the board. Theresa Seipel said she appreciated all Pospisil did. She said the world he comes from, NPPD, brought a lot to this board. Seipel said Pospisil was here for the right reasons and understood how things needed to be done. Pospisil said he felt serving on the board isn't something a person can do part-time. He said due to work, he had to miss several things and didn't feel he should just show up to vote. Seipel said she hopes everyone has a Merry Christmas and nice Christmas break. She said she has enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchild. Dr. Loeffelholz said the CMS band concert was good and choir concert fantastic. He reminded the board if they want to serve on a specific committee to let Becher know. He said he will send out all the committee options to the board members. Becher also asked the board if they wanted any changes made to the way the meetings are done to let her know as well. Dr. Loeffelholz also thanked the board for renewing his contract. He said he loves working for this board, and the district has some fantastic teachers with their hearts in the right place.
