Superintendent Mayo recognized EDGE Academy participants and gave highlights of the six sessions they had completed.

6.A. Chairman's Report

Discussion:

TSBA Award nominations are due by end of April.
The superintendent's evaluation will be available April 1-15th.
Attended the Legal and Legislative Institute in Nashville. Met with legislators and expressed concerns and objectives for the school district.

6.B. Superintendent's Report

Discussion: Superintendent Mayo

All pertinent updates have been communicated prior to the meeting.
Q4 Celebration/Employees:
- End of Year Cookout sign up will go out mid-April.
- Our employees are the best and continue to prove that day in/day out. Our employees deserve this celebration.
AMS Principal Interviews:
- Interviews will be on March 28th.
- 19 candidates applied; 7 were selected for interviews.
- The interview team consists of Executive Staff members, current AMS Principal, a teacher representative and a parent representative.
U of M Dean of Education Interviews:
- I was asked to serve on the interview committee for the selection of Dean of Education from the 3 finalists chosen for interviews.
- Hoping the next Dean can revolutionize the education department.
Night of the Stars:
- Tuesday, April 2 at Orion Hill Events at 6:00 p.m.
- Great night to honor Teacher's of the Year, Class Act Winners, Supervisor of the Year and Principal of the Year.
Retirees:
- Thank you for your service to our district and wish them well in their retirement.
Planning:
- The planning committee has been working on next year's district Inservice days, theme, etc.
Fine Arts Facility:
- Thank you for your investment the board made in our Fine Arts Facility.
- A lot of energy and appreciation for this project was evident at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Budget:
- Proposed budget and CIP documents will go out April 8th for board review in advance of the individual budget meetings.
- Our budget is in great shape! Special thank you to Mrs. Sapinsley for doing a wonderful job preparing this budget and especially for it to be her very first one!

Mrs. Davidson:

Provided an update on AMS test scores showing an increase in many areas.
