5.A. Chairman's Report

Discussion:

Chairman Benjamin encourages all to follow our stellar students either in person or on social media, as they excel in many activities. Huge shout out to our student athletes, musicians, actors, and the instructors, teachers and overseers of these groups that make these programs happen for our students!
Attended the TSBA Legislative and Legal Institute in Nashville last week. There was a lot of talk around vouchers. ACS Legislative Agenda opposes publicly funded vouchers.

5.B. Superintendent's Report

Discussion:

Q3 Celebration will be next week as we celebrate ACS employees for their continued hard work.
Dr. Clark and her team, as well as other Central office staff, pulled off another great Career Fair last week with a pool of good candidates.
2024-2025 Budget continues to evolve.
Registration
- Registration portal opened today!
- Non-Resident portal opened February 1st with 258 applicants thus far. Applications are coming from various other districts and/or counties.
Thank you to all departments for staying the course during this extremely busy time of year.

5.C. Financial Reports

Discussion:

Clark Province, Watkins Uiberall, provided highlights of the audit report. Audit results were clean with no findings. Bound copies will be supplied to each Board Member.
Kudos to Mrs. Sapinsley and Finance for the excellent work!
ACS 5-Year Trend shows:
- Revenue up 18%
- Expenses up 14%
- Reserves at 72%
- Overall, Finances are being managed very well.

5.D. Legislative Liaison

Chairman Benjamin reviewed the legislative report of noteworthy house bills to be watching.
