Mr. Mayo reported in the absence of Superintendent Mason:

Superintendent report:

• ACS received Exemplary School District Designation
• AHS:  Reward School (dual distinction), one of only 25 in state to receive dual distinction
• Administrative Building Update: Move in tentatively mid-November. Staff completed an initial punch list last week. Architects are now working on the walk through/punch list.  MLGW was a little late getting power to the building so some of the cosmetic things that were completed with just daylight are now making it to the punch list. Furniture is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow and it will still have to be assembled on site.   CO employees will receive instructions and a timeline regarding our moving preparation plan later this week.  Construction meeting tomorrow and we hope to have a more definitive timeline. 
• December 14th Ribbon Cutting for the new Central Office. Invitations forthcoming.
• Student Assessment/Grading PD work this week with Tom Guskey (world renowned researcher/author on the subject) with school admin/teacher leaders (guided by stakeholder surveys)
• Congratulations to all of our student organizations (sports, band, service clubs, etc.) for doing a great job of representing our school district in the community

Human Resources/Community Engagement Update:

• Christmas on the Square/Tree Lighting: November 18th, 4:00
• Christmas Parade: December 2nd, 3:00
• Fall Fest
• Holiday Mail for Heros completed - 420 cards by students
• CO Service Project underway after Thanksgiving
• Chamber of Commerce
