7.A. Chairman's Report

Discussion: Chairman Williams presents Kevin Yates with plaque for his service as a Board Member and also recognizes him as a member of the Transition Committee.

7.B. Superintendent's Report

Discussion:

Central Office update: completion date moved to end of October, electricity turned on, furniture delivery date moved to October 25.
LEAD Arlington: October 3rd at AHS, 8:30-11:00
Technology team asked to be apart of Apple Presentation at Tennessee Educational Technology Association Conference in November - they will share best practices of AHS device rollout to other districts around the state.
ACS will have 2 presentations at LEAD Conference in Nashville in October: The Road to 21 and Transforming Learning Through Technology (1:1 Learning)
National Merit has chosen to AHS students as semi-finalist: Taylor Dempsey and Luke Durkee
Mr. Mayo will be sending a list of teachers recommended for Tenure.
Arlington High School graduation rate of 96.8% identified as one of 43 districts in state to have rate of 95% or higher and is the only school in Shelby County and surrounding areas.
AMS parent request to extend school zone due to son being struck by car while on his bike.
