2020-2021 School Board Meeting Schedule
Recognized meeting attendee, Fayette County School Board Member, Sally Spencer
Board members express their appreciation to Ms. Mason on her dedication and service to Arlington Community Schools
Presentation of Proclamation and token of appreciation presented on behalf of Mayor Wissman and the Town of Arlington

6.B. Superintendent's Report

Discussion:

Ms. Mason
- Emotional expression of gratitude to Board for the opportunity to serve as Superintendent of Arlington Community Schools
- Capital Project Update: Renovations actively in progress at AES secure entrance and AHS Indoor Athletic Facility and machining lab
Mr. Mayo:
- Re-opening school status report sent to board members weekly
- Employee survey launches this week
- Participate on weekly calls with Health Department
- Health Department determines the phase guidelines and how plan is carried out
- Social distancing will remain 6 feet
- School Opening:
  - Normal open: health and safety protocols in place including social distancing guidelines
  - Hybrid plan: open with some students attending some days and remote learning other days (combo virtual/remote learning)
  - Complete remote learning (least favorable and only if we return to Phase 1)
  - Possible Special Called Meeting in July to approve plan before being submitted to Health Department for approval
  - Plan to be released to parents mid to late July
  - Re-opening plans from Principals due June 30 and site visits July 1
  - Health Department has jurisdiction in pandemic situations.
    - Legislators are encouraged to talk to the Governor because he is the only one that can over rule the Health Department's decisions.
  - Remote learning different from optional Spring plan, new plan will be required
  - Transportation discussions
- Professional Development will be more direct
- Staffing update
