Discussion:
On December 31, by state law, you must have an interim director. How are you going to receive interest from people and if you want an interim person to be able to apply for Director of Schools? The budget is the board's expression of your priorities. 1st order of business is the question of waiving the policy of the interim not able to apply.
Anyone interested in serving as interim sends a short letter to the chair to let the board know their interest. Those who write a letter then state whether they want to be consider as the Director. First topic on special called meeting should be whether or not 5.801 allows interim candidates to apply for director of schools. The meeting will occur at 6:30pm. |
