6.a. Community Showcase successes
Discussion:
Sheena Newman, Elementary Instructional Supervisor told the Board about the success of the Community Showcase "The Greatest Show on Earth". The idea of this event was to showcase all the good things that are going on in Bradley County Schools. The event was by invitation only. Community partners, church partners, realtors, and higher education were invited. There were about 276 students from grades 4-12 and 57 adults that participated in this event at the Church. After the show, guest were loaded into chariots and taken to the schools where they were dazzled by the students, teachers, and principals at the schools. |

6.b. Above and Beyond - Debbie Melton-Don Ledford Automative
Discussion:
Dr. Cash and the Board presented Debbie Melton from Don Ledford Automotive an Above and Beyond award for her contribution to Bradley County Schools. She has contributed 60,000.00 to schools through the Drive-A-Thons.

6.c. SCOPE Students
Discussion:
Two students from both high schools attended the TN School Board Association SCOPE (Student Congress On Policies in Education) conference at Middle Tennessee State University. This conference brings students together from across the state to discuss current topics in education. The students were assigned a topic and were told to make a case either for or against the topic. They then had a mock school board meeting to debate the issue. This event is designed to give students an understanding of how school boards operate.

6.d. BCHS Girl's Basketball State Champs
Discussion:
The girl's basketball team from Bradley Central High School were honored by the Board for winning the State Championship.

6.e. Main Street of Cleveland Event - Cheryl Dunson
Discussion:
Mrs. Dunson was not able to make the Board meeting so Dr. Cash ask that agenda item 6.e. be removed from the agenda.

7. Bradley Cleveland Public Education Foundation Update- Matt Bentley
Discussion:
Vision 100 was a big success according to Matt Bentley from the Public Education Foundation. There will be a casual Vision 100 in June at the cabin. It is targeting the younger group that hasn't been taped into yet. The executive committee met with Amanda Lee and Dawn Robinson from the Cleveland City Board to discuss operational funding which was approved at that meeting. He also told the Board that they received $50,000.00 from the Tucker Foundation toward operational funding. He thanked the Board for their support.

18. Announcements - The April Board meeting will be Thursday, April 11, 2019. A Teachers of the Year reception will begin at 4:30, recognition of them at 5:00, and the Board meeting at 5:30. The regular Work session that was scheduled for April 9th has been cancelled. On Thursday, April 18, 2019, at 5:30, there will be a Special Called Work session to discuss the Budget.
