I. 2026-2027 Budget
Discussion:
The Bedford County Board of Education met for a study session on March 19, 2026 at 4:30 pm in the Board of Education Central Office located at 500 Madison St., Shelbyville, TN. Board members Michael Cook, Brian Crews, David Brown, Dan Reed, Barton Williams, Glenn Forsee, Andrea Anderson, Lana Craig and Shanna Boyette were present. Dr. Tammy Garrett, Tim Harwell and Robert Daniel were also present.
Chairman Michael Cook opened the meeting. Robert Daniel reviewed the draft budget with the board members. The 5% raise for certified and classified is in the budget. The payroll for the 2026-2027 budget is approximately $3.4 million and includes benefits. Mr. Daniel will have better numbers for the next budget work session in April. The meeting adjourned at approximately 5:30. |
