Dr. Dyer gave his presentation to include the end of school year activities with school visits. He expressed his appreciation of students, staff and parents for a great year. Summer school at CHA. Summer Camps take place at Mayfield, Ross, Arnold and Cleveland Middle School. Elementary and secondary teachers are participating in literacy training for professional development, hiring staff, convocation planning. |

Krista McCay referred to the minutes of the May meeting where the board voted to remove line B. Since it was still showing on the policy for the second reading she wanted to be sure it was removed. The corrected policy was approved with a motion by Krista McCay and a second by Carolyn Ingram.

Dr. Dyer would like to recommend we proceed with the company NSPRA (National Schools Public Relations), to conduct a communications audit throughout the Cleveland City Schools system. This will take place in 4 phases, during its 16-17 week timeline and with an investment of $20,350.

Mr. Kiser gave a presentation on how Cleveland City Schools continues to improve and how CCS is growing, including data to show improvement in diversity numbers from the 2021-22 school year until May 30, 2022.
Mr. Kiser asked the board for approval to change the wording in the Diversity Competent Statement. |

Charlie Cogdill and Hal Taylor updated the board on the current construction projects at the Administration Office Building and the construction pattern changes for entry to Cleveland Middle School. They stated that work had begun on the girls' locker room at the wrestling center, and the footings would be poured next week. The track project has also begun but rain has delayed things for a few days.
Chairman Robinson appointed Krista McCay, who currently serves on the site committee, as Vice-Chairman on the site committee. |
