National Qualifier- Nebraska State National History Day

Discussion:
Will Simon came to talk to the board about his National History Day Project.

Discussion:
Mr. Kraus reported that Mrs. Burr received the Golden Apple Award and the middle school chess club received national recognition.
Mr. Kraus updated us on the softball coaching position. Updates on the NASB summer schedule. Updates on website upgrades. Graduation May 6th @ 4 PM District track on May 11th. No school that day. |

Principal Reports

Mr. Moore's Report:
Elementary had 93% attendance at parent-teacher conferences. NSCAS Testing starts this week at the elementary. On the upcoming teacher work day, teachers will be working on transitions for students. April 21st is Kindergarten Round Up. Elementary staff has been working hard on MTSS-B (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support- Behavior) Mr. Farley- CIP visit was held at the end of March. Reported on Parent-Teacher Conference attendance. Spring music performances have taken place over the last couple of weeks. NSCAS testing has begun at the Middle School. Mr. Farley reported about the Middle School therapy dog. Mr. Farley reported on the Washington Post article about the Middle School Chess Club. MTSS-B team will be meeting this summer. 74% participation in spring sports. Transition meetings will happen during the next teacher's work day. Summer Blast Camps will be held at the middle school at the beginning of June. Mr. Royal- Reported on Parent Teacher Conference attendance. Mr. Royal is part of a "quartet" of principals who meet and visit other schools in the area. Programming will be added as a graduation requirement. The Walter Janssen Fund will be used for new score boards in the High School Gym. MTSS team has been meeting weekly. Starting to do class registrations for next year. Since the last board meeting, there has been a blood drive, prom, and ACT. Mr. Royal discussed the upcoming "academic day." Shared that the Walter Janssen Funds could be used to help purchase new score boards for the high school gym. |

Facility/ Transportation Committee
Discussion:
At their meeting, the Facility Committee discussed the middle school playground, facility study, driveway cement bid, asphalt bid, fire alarm system in the high school, and discussed possibly getting bids for a mini van.
